Kenya Davis
Schedule Coordinator
Kenya Davis joined JFS in December 2007 as the JFS at Home schedule coordinator. In this new position, she meets with the JFS at Home care providers, many of whom are Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and coordinates their schedules to best accommodate the needs of the people they serve. She also helps to resolve any issues that may arise between the providers and clients and supervises the providers. As JFS at Home is a new venture for JFS, the agency is actively hiring care providers, so Kenya is participating in CNA interviews with Carla Weeks, JFS at Home director.Kenya has training in health information technology from Arapahoe Community College. She began her career at Shalom Park as a unit records secretary in 1993. She held that position for more than eight years and subsequently worked as medical records director for five years. Kenya worked for Carla Weeks for the majority of her Shalom Park career and the two became friends and loved working together. Kenya left Shalom Park in 2006 to be a stay-at-home mom. When the JFS at Home job opened up, Carla contacted Kenya. Since it was a part-time position, Kenya jumped at the opportunity. “I was thrilled to work with Carla again and the hours meant I could still spend time at home with my son,” says Kenya.
Kenya is truly enjoying her job. “The staff is great to work with,” she says. “They are all so compassionate and have some caring attitudes. I also love meeting all the caregivers and look forward to developing excellent working relationships with all of them.”
When not working, Kenya enjoys going to church and spending time with her family, particularly her three-year-old son, Isaac. She also loves to travel and is planning a trip to Disneyworld this summer for Isaac’s fourth birthday. As animal lovers, they have a Newfoundland named Omega and several fish.
