Alaina Green
Marketing and Public Relations Associate

Alaina GreenAlaina Green joined Jewish Family Service in October 2004 as marketing and public relations associate and began working with JFS at Home in August 2008. In her part-time role with the homecare division, she is responsible for advertising, public relations, and other marketing efforts to garner awareness about JFS at Home. In her “other hat” for the agency, Alaina produces the print and electronic newsletters, creates annual reports, works on media and community relations, and is responsible for a variety of other marketing and public relations tasks.

A Colorado native, Alaina received a bachelor’s of science in marketing from Colorado State University and has 10 years of experience in marketing and public relations, primarily in the nonprofit industry. “I never intended to build my career working for nonprofit organizations,” says Alaina. “However, I realized that I like working for organizations such as JFS that have a mission to help others and feel that I am contributing to a greater cause.”

Before joining JFS, Alaina spent four years at The Children’s Museum of Denver, most recently as director of communications. After taking a few months off and starting a family, Alaina joined JFS part-time. “I was looking for a part-time job so I could spend more time with my daughter, Hannah, so when I saw the ad for the position at JFS, it was perfect!” says Alaina enthusiastically. “Not only are the hours at JFS great, but it is truly a wonderful place to come to work. The staff and board at the agency are the most caring and compassionate people with whom I have ever had the pleasure to work!”

When not working, Alaina and her husband, Bill enjoy taking advantage of the beautiful Colorado weather by walking, hiking, skiing, swimming, and playing with their dogs, Mackenzie and Zoe. Alaina and Bill are long-time members of Congregation Emanuel and their daughter attends Temple Emanuel Preschool. They all enjoy attending Tot Shabbat services and other programs for the Jewish holidays and are often joined by their many local family members.
